Thanks partly to the fire in the Channel Tunnel, and partly due to the fact that the Milan show turned out not to actually be in Milan, this trip was a bit of a logistical nightmare. But it wasn’t half worth the trouble!
Three shows for us, in Istres (France), Monte Carlo (Monaco) and Trezzo sull’Adda (Italy) involved travel in our own car, two ‘planes, numerous trains, the Parisian Metro, a hire car, a lift with some fellow fans and several taxis. Not to mention quite a bit of walking, much of it whilst pulling suitcases .....
The shows were great, with a good assortment of songs - we heard 22 over the three nights. But as ever, it was meeting the fans which really made the trip a special one ........
